Wedding Plans: Another Visit to Hacienda Teya

Mommy’s visit was very productive! I went with her, fiance and my future in-laws to Merida to sign contracts with some vendors, to do a trial run for my hairstyle (yay!) and to visit the hacienda to do a food tasting and pick table settings. It was a busy (and hot) day, but we got everything done we wanted to and then some.

I can’t show you pictures of everything (have to maintain some mystery up until the wedding), but I’ll distract you with beautiful pictures of the hacienda.

There was an event going on while we were there... can we do THIS at our wedding?

  1. The balcony?! BEAUTIFUL!!!! How pretty. I want to pull up some rocking chairs there and just relax.

I wonder where we could get the sprinkler ball. My niece and nephews would love that (and, um, me too)!.

  2. oh, your location’s beautiful! what time is the wedding? the place would look great at sunset, with candles and torches all around…

by the way, you and your mom look like sisters! i had to do a double-take just to be sure i’m reading your captions right..

    • Thanks! She’s gorgeous.

It’s going to be about 6:30 pm. Just a little before sunset (7/7:30). It should still be light out, but the reception area will probably have lots of candles and stuff. 🙂

  3. So beautiful! Can’t wait to see pictures of your big day. If I had been following earlier I would have pushed for Isla Mujeres, but this looks amazing also!

  4. Stumbled across this while looking up Hacienda Teya-I lived there as a little girl in the late 60’s and heard they had fixed it up-pictures are beautiful-much better than mine from before! Have a wonderful wedding!

  5. Oh my gosh! That is absolutely gorgeous. And yes, you should totally do the inflatable ball thing on your wedding day- they should roll you down the aisle 🙂

  6. that hacienda looks awesome. i cannot wait to see more, especially decorated for you wedding. love your shirt as well. and you should totally have the giant ball as a reception activity. 🙂

  7. Okay, I just looked through all the photos on the links you put on today’s post and OMG that place is absolutely freaking gorgeous!! It is a fantastic place to host your wedding.
